Today was a good day, even though I didn't go out.

I got (almost!) a chapter done for physics, just have to figure out how to do two problems and then I'll be happy. Hopefully I'll get the rest of the other two chapters down sometime before break ends, because I have a test the day we come back from break.

I also went on Aim on one of my old screennames today for the first time in a long while, and Caleb messaged me. I haven't talked to him in a few years or so - I knew him way back in around 8th/9th grade and we were really good friends up until around 11th grade or so and then we just stopped talking. I asked how he was doing and he said that his girlfriend got an abortion today (which for some reason, I wasn't too shocked about), and that he's still skateboarding, getting high, playing guitar, and playing Maplestory just like a few years ago. He even called me Becktard, which is a nickname he gave me because we were all pretty much dumbtards back in the day. I'm pretty surprised that he still remembers that. I asked if he still talked to our other friends, Matt and Paul, and he says that they are really different now. Matt pretty much "outcooled" him and turned into some really immature person that always ditches him every chance he gets, and Paul turned into a Spanish kid that wears Jordans and has a tongue ring lol.

For some odd reason, Caleb seemed like one of those "cool" kids that was too cool for me when he messaged me, but everything just sort of melded back into how it was like a few years ago. I like that. Most of the friends that I was close to a long time ago, we probably would have had that awkward silence, because... well, that kind of thing sort of happens to me a lot anyway when I bump into people that I used to be close/semi-close with.

Errrr and that 6th grade guy I was talking about a few posts earlier - he started messaging me on Aim too, and I was scared to talk back to him because I didn't... really want to? But I talked to him anyway. It gets pretty awkward sometimes and... I don't think he notices. He said that he wanted to take me out to dinner in case I couldn't go to Military Ball (which is some JROTC thing back at high school where it's sort of like a party and the first half is really formal with speeches and really good food, and the second half is all... dancing like we're in a club in the middle of the room). It's a pretty long story with a bunch of explanations and stuff; in short, he asked if I wanted to go to MB with him and I said yes because I would feel really bad if I said no. But anyway yeah, he asked what I was going to tell my mom about the dinner thing and I said that I'll just tell her I'm going out to dinner with a friend. Then he says that 'mom'll be like "*gasp* You have a boyfriend?!" and you can say "Yeah mom, he's my boyfriend" because it's true.' And then he tells me that he's just kidding.

...I don't know how to respond to that.
