Finally got that bubble tea I've been craving all day for <3 If you look closely, you can see the Umbreon that Josh (World of Warcraft, fishing pole, the one who went with us to bake cupcakes at Teresa's house, the one whose mom tried to set us up/invite me over to dinner, etc) made for me 2 summers ago :)


It was terrible getting the bubble tea because my sister wanted one too, but didn't want to go out with me to get some. I asked my mom if she wanted to take a walk with me to get bubble tea and she said no LOL. But anyways the lady at the bakery spoke Mandarin and I can only speak Cantonese so I said "gnaw sherng yiu leung goh zhen giu lai cha, yat gor siu tong" (sorry fail pinyin) aka "I'd like two bubble teas, one with less sugar." (I like my bubble tea with less sugar, hint hint Kyle.) So we tried to talk with each other in different languages and we sort of understood each other. Sort of. Except that she made only one with less sugar so that I had to tell her that I wanted two, and she asked me something but I didn't know what she was asking so I just said yes.

And I just awkwardly watched her make another bubble tea. It kind of makes me feel bad when I do something like that because I'm sort of making them do more work than they have to, heh. I probably would have apologized profusely if we spoke the same language. But I fail and I don't even know how to say "sorry" in Canto. It turns out that she asked me if I wanted less sugar in the second one too, which I didn't, because my sister likes her bubble tea to be super sweet.

Things like that make me want to learn how to speak Mandarin asdf D:
