pancakes
10 December 2010 @ 22:04
Yay, I finally have something interesting to blag about today :D

Teresa came over this morning and we made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast...

Please ignore my ghetto sock/flip flop combination.
...and peppermint bark!

The peppermint bark was pretty much a fail, as you may or may not be able to tell. I used a little more than half a bag of dark and white chocolate. The dark chocolate melted very nicely even though I used the microwave - I don't trust myself with melting chocolate in the microwave because I usually end up burning it, but I used white and dark chocolate and didn't want to wash an extra bowl. Teresa melted the white chocolate over a double boiler and it ended up seizing, probably because I didn't notice a little bit of water in the bowl or something :( So then we had to use the nib amount of white chocolate left over for the top.

...Now that I think about it, I still had to wash an extra bowl either way. I'm dumb D:

Teresa had to leave for class afterwards, so I hung out with Michelle and (David) Lee~ We went to the mall to mostly look at stuff, and Michelle bought a few things for herself and for her friend Kara. I bought these really cute fish earrings!

After that, we went back to Fobtown. We went to McDonalds and I ordered a Happy Meal because I wanted a watch lol. I think Lee said something about never wanting to eat with me if I order a Happy Meal at my age. But yeah anyway, I got the Chococat watch that my sister wanted 8)

I was going to be a total jerk about it to my sister since she really wanted it, but I decided to just give it to her because I AM SUCH A NICE PERSON. The watches are pretty cute though, I think I might go back again to order another Happy Meal so I can get my own lolol. The thing is, I start feeling bad if I eat a lot of junk food; the Happy Meal I ordered had 4 chicken nuggets and a small pack of fries, and I started feeling kinda sick after I finished the chicken and about half of the fries. Maybe I'll just keep the watch and give the food away to a hobo or something.

I also got my ear repierced.

I'm such a wimp with things like these, I needed Michelle to hold my hand while I was getting it pierced. The area looks really red and disgusting. The earring is quite cute though, it's a tiny star :) I'm kind of tempted to get a fourth piercing next to the one that I just got. I don't like the number four though, so if I ever do get a piercing next to the one I got today, I'll have to pierce my other ear too.

I also bought one of those little cell phone charms for my fob friend in my 2D design class as a gift, because she's really nice and lets me mooch white gouache off of her because I'm too lazy to go all the way to Manhattan to buy my own. It's an owl, and it's really cute! I'm tempted to just keep it for myself and buy her something else :< Yeah screw it, I'm keeping this.
