snow
07 December 2010 @ 00:27
It snowed today! There wasn't a lot of snow, it was mostly just flurries that didn't stick to the ground. I wasn't expecting it to snow because it was pretty sunny outside, and was actually warm inside my house. So I thought that it was warm outside too, but it was freezing. I also missed two 27 buses - one came right before I dropped off the Christmas cards that I wrote the day before yesterday, and the next one came when I was about to cross the street to the bus stop. It's kind of weird, because the 27 buses usually come in 20ish minute intervals.

I kind of don't really like the harsh winter because my lips get chapped so easily. My lips hurt and they're pretty disgusting to look at. I tend to feel really self-conscious whenever my lips get chapped, even if everyone else's lips are in the same condition. And I hate that drinking lots of water/putting lots of lip balm on barely helps at all in the winter.

But there are some things I do like about the winter! Like staying inside and being warm when it's snowing like crazy outside (as long as it doesn't mess up the internet connection too much). And hot chocolate. I love hot chocolate, I think it tastes really good when you put a peppermint candy in the drink. Speaking of hot chocolate, I need to go out and hoard a few containers of Swiss Miss whenever the weather isn't too cold. I tried making hot chocolate from scratch a few lot of times before (you know, to save money and be all ~homely~ and stuff), but I always end up messing it up somehow. Sometimes I add too much milk so that I can taste it, and then I don't want it anymore because I can't stand the taste of milk. Or it ends up being sickeningly sweet. Or all the cocoa powder ends up settling to the bottom of the drink so that it tastes really bitter. But most of the time, it just tastes plain bad.

And umm, I also like it when it's cold enough to sleep with two blankets, because then it's extra warm and comfy. :3

K JAMES I hope that's enough for you because I want to wake up early tomorrow, even though all I did was ramble :<
